Aerial Captures are a type of Collectable found in Horizon Forbidden West: Burning Shores. Similar to the Vantage Points in Horizon Zero Dawn and the Vista Points in Horizon Forbidden West, they provide a glimpse of a location in the Old World. More specifically, Aerial Captures provided images of Los Angeles landmarks during Operation: Enduring Victory's fight against the Faro Plague.
After scanning the associated transmission box, a flight path will appear that Aloy will follow to the Aerial Capture location.

The Aerial Captures tell the story of how Lillian Barnett, a soldier fighting in Operation: Enduring Victory, grew skeptical of Project Zero Dawn and Operation: Enduring Victory and sought to learn their true purposes. Barnett planned to use the Aerial Capture images to show the public the true nature of Operation: Enduring Victory, as they had been previously lied to to keep morale high.
