I think i have to finish zero dawn to understand who the "whistleblowers" were. Sounds like something one of those political commentators would say.

I've been making a map based on the locations used in Horizon, on the wiki page for locations in Forbidden West. So far in plotting this map, Aloy travels from Colorado Springs to San Fransisco, passing through Utah (Sundom) and Nevada. Skirting Arizona and visiting Ban Ur in Wyoming.

At no point does Aloy seem to end up in New Mexico.

If Lake Mead is Jagged Deep, and if Hayford Peak is Regional Control Center 9 and you can see Plainsong from The Base (RCC9). Plainsong cannot be south of Albuquerque in at the Very Large Array.

Based on the map I am making it would make more sense if the Utaru were somewhere near the Sierra Nevada's or near the Owens Valley Radio Observatory. It's also possible that the Dishes that the Utaru are living in were built after the current age.

Since there is a moment where they stated that you can face the East from the base and you can see the dishes from there perhaps I need to do a little more investigating.

I hope Flashback at least not bad writing such mentioned.
