@Lacrossedeamon I think I saw a few posts about it on LinkedIn as well, so there were likely more applicants from that site
@GuillermoIE That works! See you there!
I am getting over a bit of a cold, but I'll do my best
Sure thing! How should we contact each other?
I could leave my email on your wall, but that's kinda publicly visible
@GuillermoIE Awesome, good luck! Feel free to use me as a reference if you want.
While that would be totally awesome, I kinda lost track of the lore in Horizon Forbidden West.
That being said, I did pass along the posting to some friends of mine who are looking to get into the video game industry. And Amsterdam is a really nice place to live, from what friends have said who lived there for a while
I admire his conviction to do what he feels is right for his people and heal the devastation caused by his predecessor, but I have my doubts as to what will happen. He appears to be an absolute monarch with little to no input from the everyday people.
In the words of T'Chaka in Black Panther, "You're a good man with a good heart. And it's hard for a good man to be king."
Horizon: Canada, eh?
@WolframWyre Any idea why you can't edit? Are you caught in an IP block or something?
I know some wikis have a filter called "autoconfirmed", where accounts can't edit until they are at least 4 days old.
If you need to settle a dispute between users, or even just get a second opinion about a rule or decision, Community Central is the place for that sort of thing. You can even sometimes talk to employees of Wikia/Fandom. It's also a great place to go if you encounter a bug in a wiki.
Just be polite and professional, and have links or screenshots ready
I would think we should flesh out the page for the board game first. Then, if there's enough detail and uniqueness to warrant separate pages for the new weapons, add them.
@SuperMakerRaptor @Thehumaneldar If I'm remembering correctly, the only machines we see in the Horizon series that are not made by HEPHAESTUS are the old Chariot class; Corruptors, Deathbringers, and Metal Devils. All the others were designed by GAIA and/or HEPHAESTUS.
There isn't much info on Syzygy/East in the game, but near as I can tell, it's the name given to a nuclear disaster that was on the scale of Chernobyl or Fukishima, possibly worse.
If it is delayed, I would at least like an explanation from Guerilla. If it is to avoid pushing staff to the breaking point, I'm ok with that. Burned out employees are no excuse for any game.
Just out of curiosity, how many people did you ask, and where did you ask them? Demographics can provide a lot of interesting details than vote tallies alone
Example: If you asked that on a wiki that wasn't geared towards video games or science fiction, you may get less enthusiastic responses.
From what little we've seen in the trailers, Sunwings appear to be flying Watchers, so I doubt they have much in the way of weapons or armor.
Also, the Shieldwing appears to be made from the wing of a Sunwing.
Besides what @Darth Mauling said, I seem to recall one of the datapoints regarding Project Zero Dawn mentioning how a FAS employee tracked a Zero Dawn employee down to a bar and basically cloned his Focus while he was distracted. Or at least copied the files.
Sure! Fair warning, some fans on that wiki can be a bit... overprotective of "their" franchise.
@Tububo That is a very difficult choice, since they are two of my favorite games and I admin the wiki for The Last of Us.
@Tearblast Arrows Solve Everything The Last of Us is another post-apocalyptic game series. It is a bit similar to Horizon Zero Dawn in terms of beautiful scenery and an emphasis on stealth, but the setting is much more bleak. Part I is basically the hero's rise as one character, and Part II is basically the hero's fall as another.
While HEPHAESTUS could recycle the old Chariot-class machines (in fact, Scrappers and Glinthawks were designed for this purpose), it would still need access to fresh ores to make the metal stronger. Recycled metal loses some oils and minerals when it is recycled, so it needs to be mixed with fresh stuff in order to help it retain attributes like tensile strength.
I think the page used to, but then someone realized that we could move most of the relevant info into the appropriate sections and delete the irrelevant stuff.
