Look if you have made just a little bit of progress then you can still change the engines to your convince. And try to give yourself time limits like 30 working days only to build the whole game it will help you out. And godot is a good engine i agree but when you start overall again on this one remember set a limited time to complete your game. And game maker's toolkit is a great channel you can find some help for game development there. Good luck!
