Find vantages. A vantage always have a supply create beside it. It contains several resource supply boxes, each holds lots of materials. Purchase Map - Vantages to find vantages easier. When you're in the range of a vantage, use your focus to scan nearby supply creates.
Another way to grind materials to to explore cauldrons. Cauldrons contain lot of supply boxes too, each of them full of machine resources.
My way to grind materials maybe isn't the best way, but you can try.

There was a small bug in the game when I was overriding the cauldron cores of ZETA and XI.
I had the XI core log for ZETA and the ZETA core log for XI.
Does anyone else have this problem?
