Ted Faro

Given that FZ faked their destruction during the building of ZD and before Ted deleted Apollo, there is something of a plot hole where had the new generation of humans received Apollo and restarted civilisation at a level of complexity at the 2060’s, that within a few generations it would not be inconceivable that they would either be able to travel through space themselves or otherwise build powerful enough space telescopes to detect FZ on their colony, that would somewhat render their efforts to hide their existence less effective,

In my mind given the fact that they were aware though Hank Saw that Ted had created Omega Clearance and thus having completed control over the entire ZD system, potentially had Ted not independently taken over the system and destroyed Apollo himself, they might have either though creating a clone of Elisabet centuries earlier to delete Apollo themselves or at least removing information from the Apollo database that could lead back to them,

Or another possibility is that given that they were seemingly not surprised by the existence of the current generation of humans given their reactions to the new world, that they had some form of monitoring over Earth and ZD after their departure from Earth, with Tilda in particular being the most obvious indication in wanting to have some sort of connection with Elisabet, with them intending to use some plan to further hide themselves, only for Ted to independently destroy the Apollo database that would render their own attempts unnecessary in their plans

Though they might have knowing Ted had a higher level of clearance than Elisabet, they could have in some fashion gained a sample of his DNA to create their own version of Ted and used his genetic code as the key to overcome the security of ZD as GIAI had no idea of its existence or ability to counter it,

With the hypothetical that given the level of intelligence and sophistication of the Signal that NEMESIS used to activate HADES that was able to evade and easily overcome the powers of a 900 year old GIAI, maybe NEMESIS obtained a DNA sample to access Omega, in unknown circumstances created a clone of Ted itself or gained access to a clone that had already been created but never used by FZ kept on ice, with the potential that the clone given Beta’s name could have been named Alpha,

In my mind during the conversation between Elisabet and Ted before she went to US Robot Command she said that if he did not give her the funds to build ZD then she would reveal the “real source of the glitch”, given that the Plauge would later become known as the Faro Plague, it would seem that knowledge that Ted himself was indirectly responsible for the end of the world to be revealed as a threat would somewhat be less effective and that “real source of the glitch” would be something else,

Maybe given that in the HADES proving lab, where Ted was creating computer viruses before the outbreak of the Plague, maybe one of viruses created could have fallen into the hands of a group or individual that unknowingly or intentionally spread it to a Chariot Line swarm, possibly before they were fully constructed and left or been able to overcome other Chariot Line robots, with the virus itself being illegal to have created,

With the possibility that the origins of The Glitch would factor into the story of Horizon 3, that in finding its origins, that Elisabet would have known about in some form, might be key to defeating NEMESIS, that given the case of the Glitch was seemingly able to bypass the encryption protocol of the Swam, that it could delay or hinder the efforts of NEMESIS, with the possibility that their could be a heavy storyline in whether using it against NEMESIS would be worth it given that it already caused the end of the world, with it being considered as a potential final “break in case of emergency” last resort card after everything else had failed,

Maybe with the Glitch being used to split up the individual minds that make up NEMESIS into different components, and take on the individual minds one at a time, or such a attack could be used to temporarily stun NEMESIS to allow for a greater attack against it,

With the possibility that NEMESIS lacking HADES, would try to create the Faro Plague again in one of its attempts to destroy the world, maybe leading to part of the story or a chain of side quests or activities where Alloy would need to destroy all remaining Metal Devils, with them being temporarily reactivated and the surrounding area being turned into a super boss fight, requiring her to travel back to protect areas in the first game, or maybe giving that Titan is a new weight class introduced in Burning Shores that NEMESIS would deploy similar sized machines as boss fights, or Alloy would need to somehow override a Metal Devil to combat NEMESIS or create her own Titan sized machine,

Ted is a beast now (literally) also why did he turn from making peace bots to making bots that ended the freaking world

In my mind a possibility could be that given that it’s role is to ensure the rebirth of humanity, that it seems that the entire normal population of humans in cradles were born and the existence of the Lightkeeper program could lead to the following:

Due to the fact that their are at least 9 Cradles, possibly 10 if the number is rounded up and the last order given to the 9th before the destruction of GIAI was to recreate Elisabet and thus giving birth to Aloy, and that the other Cradles were located across the world, given the subordinate function’s role maybe to fulfill its purpose would use the only remaining DNA that it had in storage or in is own attempt to help GIAI could order the recreation of the remaining Alphas with them being born at different Cradles across the world, and maybe given misinterpreted version of history given the lack of Apollo and given to different tribes

With each of the reborn Alphas, with their various different life experiences could result in them being either ally or enemy or situational ally, with them presumably having a similar level of authority over their respective subordinate functions as Aloy has over GIAI and the full extent of Zreo Dawn could lead them to becoming seen in demigod like ways, with the possibility that if the third game is a global reaching adventure Aloy could need them in some way to fight NEMESIS

Also as another possibility, given that in the Quen the Ceo in HFW was said to be the first Ceo in five generations and the idea was based upon Ted, that either though the subordinate function with Ted maybe having secretly added his own DNA as an alternative from of immortality maybe viewing himself just as important as the Alphas or via a separate method, would create a clone of Ted that would create the foundation for the role of Ceo, and that during the NEMESIS signal another clone of Ted could have been created to “save the world” and being cloned at different times during some crisis to further the need of Ted to be the “Man who saved the world”

Hello, I have thought of the following ideas, any comments and feedback is welcome.

In my mind in the case of Horizon Zero Dawn/Forbidden West a possible storyline for the next game could be that I think that it would be possible given Alloy origins as a clone and the technology used to create her came from the half abandoned Lightkeeper Program that also stored copies DNA of the high level Zero Dawn personal and the ability exists as seen by Alloy for clones during the events of the game to be created, that either after the events of Alloy's birth and the other former Subordinate Functions of ZD like Eleuthera would lacking governance would act on its default orders and create new humans though with the possibility that only the DNA of the other leaders of ZD exist would clone them at other Cradle facilities with if there there 10 Cradles and Alloy was born at the 9th with the other clones being born at the remaining Cradles across the world with some if not all gaining a possibility flawed though advanced education with limited access to knowledge of the old world as well as living among the tribes of the world with there experiences possibly making them either an ally or enermy of Alloy with levels of authority over different aspects of the system second only to her own and that when Ted Faro learnt of what would become of himself would create a clone failsafe that would become active during either the events of HFW believing the actions that would affect himself to be a tragedy requiring the clone or during the event that lead to Alloys birth with the clone being activated to "protect and save" the new world from a potential second extinction event and would be a force in the next game with the possibility that given his lack of knowledge of the system combined it's current state could possibly resulting in multiple clones with each having different behaviours and motivation as one version of him destroyed the world and what could several versions of him do, what do you think, given that several of the subordinate functions where not directly captured by Alloy what do you think there action in the last 20 years could have been doing and the further role of cloning in the storyline?

Another theory I have is that given that NEMESIS has the power to inhabit any from biological or mechanically and as a potential storyline and contrast with Aloy and Elisabeth, people who did everything they could to save the world, is that in order for the AI if it does have such a large size to have a human presence in the story and to gain access to the Terraforming System would create a clone of Elisabeth to inhabit and would be a dark reflection of Aloy, who would need to in effect flight a version of herself to save the world, with the possibility that Aloy would seek to free the clone thinking she was forced against her will only for the dark clone to have gained an Agent Smith like mentality due to having shared her mind with the most evil beings for all her life, and although the rest of FZ has been destroyed if the AI has any purely logical mindset it could see Beta and by extension Aloy due to them being identical clones as being the last members of FZ discounting the fact that Beta was an unwilling participant of FZ and would continue its mission to destroy Earth based on them being alive or something similar, what do you think?

As for the upcoming TV Show I think, I think that given the working title of Horizon 2074, almost 10 years after the end of the Old Ones that part of the show will take place in Elysium, with the bunker acting somewhat like the island from Lost as a self contained location and show the final days of the bunker with the possibility that any flashbacks could be from Aloy discovering holograms and data and learn it's fate as a framing devise to inform the watcher and Aloy of those events, with the events involving Aloy could be in the beginning and end of each episode, maybe using each discovery to learn of ways to defeat NEMESIS or another threat in the show, with it building towards such a battle that could have threated both eras.

Other ideas I have is that Aloy & Co could use Minerva to create a false signal of a high tech cauldron and turn it into a AI version of Pandora's Box to trap it and then using the FZ ship send it into the sun, use HEPHAESTUS to create machines or weapons and armour to combat or stalemate NEMESIS to the point where it cannot cause harm, HEPHAESTUS could given that Aloy has defeated him twice and captured him once could maybe create a Terminator style machine possibly in her image to defeat her and maybe it to damage her reputation, Use Vast Silver as a vires to infect NEMESIS and destroy it from within.

Is anyone else disappointed that we didn't get to see Mutant-Ted?

Like seriously, I am so mad... I really wanted to see the grotesque abomination that ol' Teddy had turned into... 😩

When typing one of these posts, it says “Share your thoughts…” Well…

Ted Faro was insane!!!!!!! Trying to live forever just like the Zeniths. Like Sylens said though, “the difference between you and I is I’ve made progress.” The Zeniths actually succeeded in living forever, whereas while Faro sort of did, it was one of those things where they live forever, but as a hideous monster that would be better off dead. Also, why did he have live Corruptors guarding one of the doors????? Especially after the guilt he felt for causing the apocalypse with those very machines. Also, Ceo deserves his death. I am a bit bummed that we didn’t get to see Faro in his… mutated form, but at the same time, based on the holographic depiction of him, I’m kinda glad we didn’t get to. And those r my thoughts. I’m also just glad that Alva finally got to join the “Focus Gang” (my personal name for it).

Faro? Far Zenith? Sylens? Vast Silver? Or someone we don't even know?

@Random Side Quest

There has always been a question in my mind about that conversation between Ted and Elizabet. She was on her way to US Robot command and Ted was to sign an agreement to foot the bill for Project Zero Dawn. Elizabeth says “Now your choice is what I tell them either sign the agreement and I'll tell them that you are willing to foot the bill. Or don't sign and I tell everyone the real cause of the glitch.” I'm paraphrasing but you get the idea. What was so terrible that in the face of global extinction Ted didn't want anyone to know. Now the answer might be obvious and I'm just missing a few details or we simply don't have that info currently. But that question that no one seems to be asking haunts me.

What could possibly top all that Faro did?

I can fill in the gaps on many other questions but that one has always stuck.
