Since the slaughter spine is based on spinenosaurs can in life it was able to swim or go into water is it to heavy or it just can't swim which is a bad move on Hephaestus part.
Fought many of them, none were able to swim.
Honestly can’t tell… I’ve never seen any go in water before, but they do appear by coastlines. Probably not though.
