I think based on what happen with the shell snapper traps are on a separate menu compared to other weapons. Or at least the traps have presets.

Omg it didn’t cross my mind that that was a variant Clawstrider!! Are we sure they aren’t just normally firey? Now I gotta zoom in and look for differences to the model.

I think the jaws on the variant are different. Grinders instead of chainsaws.

Correct me if I am wrong, but Clawstriders are not able to use fire based attacks, right?

I think they are all physical which is why they’re mounts. They run while Aloy shoots. You can also see that the variants lack the blade-like feathers all over them.

They could have the jets similar to the ones on the rolling machines that lets them jump farther.

I bet they can only be used in colder climates due to less mass allowing of cooling.
